The planorder added manually through custom table doesn’t have workdefinition automaticallypopulate

Summary: We added planned order manually through our custom layout, but when we checked the same planned order in supplies and demands , it's showing release error : A work definition must be defined. Is this standard functionality?

Asking the user to re run the supply plan every time to get the work definition updated is not realistic.

Is there a way that the work definition should get updated when a manual demand is created through some custom layout.
