Question on setting up HCM to accommodate more than 1 country

Hello! In our HCM system, we have been strictly US based since implementation about 7 years ago, all of our settings are geared toward being US based. However, we are looking at "converting" our settings to accommodate a global scale.
Is there any documentation floating around for people who set the settings up for one country but needed to add others later on?
We utilize HCM for Core HR, Talent, Compensation, Performance and Recruiting just to give an idea of the scale of use in our HCM.
