Narrative Reporting: Changing period in multiple Bursting Definitions at once

I'm looking for a way to change period in multiple busting definition at once.

We are using Narrative Reporting referencing ERP and have created about 40 bursting definitions. Global dimention is set to AccountingPeriod and when changing AccoungtinPeriod, we mannually select period in the member selector. But we would like to avoid this to prevent choosing wrong members.

I thought substitution variables can be used but I have read an customer connect discussion that if NR was referencing ERP, the substitution variables is unavailable.

Is there any way to use variables in Global Dimention or change AccountingPeriod in multiple Bursting Definition simultaneously without manual operation?
