it possible to allow employees or approvers to update a pending request?

Summary:

When an employee submits a request (e.g., personal information changes) and forgets to fill in some mandatory or important details(or wrong information), and that the request proceeds to the approval stage.

Is there a way for the employee/approvers to update or add missing information to the request while it’s still in progress, without having to withdraw or restart the process?

We would like to avoid the following:

The approver rejecting the request, forcing the employee to re-enter all the data from scratch.

Having the employee submit a second request just to add the missing information(or correcting it since this will cause some discrepancies on the database).
