Create a rule that allows Buyers to change date on Contracts without the need for multiple approvals

Create a rule that allows Buyers to change date on Contracts, with only going to single user for approval. This request is to trigger approval notification when we update/Change the end Date of the Active Contracts. Approval should go only to single user. How can we capture that only date was modified through the bpm rules.
