OTL Time Entry via REST API

Summary:

We are looking at using available REST API to bring in time card data from our external systems, since we recently learned the HDL tool would not work for labor distribution. We are going to have roughly 50,000 plus API request. Can we handle that volume through REST API? Is it possible to batch the request or can be processed parallelly through Integration?
