For the new interface want to receive the image related to item from the external source system

Summary:

There is a new interface for one of business requirement to receive item related Image on Item Master integration.  Where we want to setup new interface to receive the image related to item from the external source system to OTM. Can we receive those images via new interface and what should be the maximun size and type of the image like JPG,PNG etc.
We have already checked the Oracle Help. Please let me know on this.
