How to create a groovy rule to check for line returns in a text field

Summary:

We our trying to prevent our end users from entering a line return in a text data type member.

We have an Account member Event Name marked as the Data Type of Text. Unfortunately the users have been entering in line returns when entering their Event Name. They also are entering our Delimiter of Pipe | in the Event Name. This is causing big problems in our Extract processes.

We have a groovy script on the form that already checks for certain accounts that are set to null or missing. This is work fine. However when checking for a text member for certain characters, it is not working.
