Why html attribute hyperlink with redwood link is not displaying on email template in CPQ ?

In email template of oracle CPQ, when i use html attribute with <a> tag to add hyperlink with redwood link it is not getting populated in the template. But when i use jet layout link, then the hyper link is visible in email template.
