In the Administrator Conversation areas, are the attachments that are added stored somewhere?

Summary:

In the Administrator Conversation areas, are the attachments that are added stored somewhere? If so, would they be accessible from another location, if needed?

We have offerings in our catalog that have costs associated with them and the team would like assurance that if they were to upload their documents there that they are safe. Right now they upload them there and a team Sharepoint site for safe keeping. It would be great to be able to not have to do this double work.
