can we not assign member birthdate to Global Absence Plan Period Anniversary Event Date

Can we not assign member birthdate to the Global Absence Plan Period Anniversary Event Date formula.

I have a requirement to give the leave balance on member birthdate. Once given, the balance can be utilize in a year (birthdate to birthdate)

In my understanding, if we can have the leave plan period starting from member birth date, this requirement can be achieved easily. so for the same, when I am assigning the same birthdate to the Global Absence Plan Period Anniversary Event Date, the formula is validated correctly, but getting error message while applying such leave and moreover accruals are also not getting calculated.
