Open proposal documents in Google docs instead of Microsoft word

Is there any way to directly open a proposal document downloaded from CPQ in Google Docs?

Our Organization uses only Google products and currently there's no easy way to open the proposals directly in google docs.

Instead, Our Sales team are uploading it in the drive and opening them in google docs.

Has anyone faced similar issue and implemented any solution to cut the manual task?

Also, we had raised an Idea( Idea Number:795256) to have this feature and it hasn't progressed further.

Are there any other companies who are facing similar scenario? Please endorse.
