How to make the Licenses and certification 'status' to auto populate based on 'Expiration date'

Under my client group>>Show more>>Talent profile>> Licenses and certification section, I want the certification status to automatically change its status from 'Active' to 'Expired' when the expiry date passes. Any insights on this would be helpful.
