Blanket Purchase Agreement for non-catalog

Scenario: Creating a Purchase Order linked to a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for a non-catalog item.

The user was able to successfully create a Blanket Purchase Agreement for a non-catalog item. However, when attempting to associate a non-catalog Purchase Requisition (PR) with this BPA, the system does not allow them to proceed to PO creation.

This raises the question: if the system permits the creation of a BPA for a non-catalog item, why is it not possible to associate it during the PO creation process?

Are there any possible workarounds to enable the association of a non-catalog item with an agreement?
