Why do the dates for Signing Certificate Expiration Date do not match that of the actual cert?

Recently we had to update the SSL certificates for our Oracle Fusion SSO. When my infrastructure team created the cert, it had a year of 2028. However, once we created the Identity Provider, and added the Metadata.xml and saved it, then enabled it, it showed a different date (in our example, we applied it on 6/27/2025 and it showed 12/2/2027)

We're wondering that even though the original cert applied is valid for almost another 6 months, would it be an issue when the date shown in Oracle is met even when the date of the cert shows it should still be valid?
