URL Structures to handle variable numbers of slashes to build hierarchy

Our SEO partner is keen that we whould use variable number of slashes to show google there is a hierarchy.

Is it possible to have a category hierarchy in the URL similar to

site.com/cat414/cat/men

site.com/cat415/cat/men/shirts

site.com/cat416/cat/men/shirts/long-sleeve

We have not been able to find a way to generate a URL pattern that has ifferring numbers of /
