Latest Configured/Reconfigured Model

We have several models in our system, and I have already configured some and added them to commerce. I am now configuring a new model and migrating its data to commerce. Is there a standard way to identify, on the commerce side, which model was just configured and brought into commerce?

This also applies to reconfiguration. When we reconfigure, we need a way to determine which configuration has just completed the reconfiguration process.
