Requirement to automatically send a custom PDF (generated from a BIP template) to DocuSign for contract signatures, replacing the default seeded Primary Contract Document (PCD), once a Procurement Contract is submit for approval (i.e., not in Draft status)

We have a requirement to generate a contract PDF using a custom BI Publisher (BIP) template, instead of the seeded contract PDF, once a Procurement Contract is submitted for approval (status: Pending for approval; not in Draft). The current seeded XML template does not contain all the required details, so a custom BIP template is needed for PDF generation.
