How to restrict dashboard prompt values by user security?

edited Dec 17, 2014 9:37AM in Human Capital Management 2 comments

Summary

This topic helps the report builders to accommodate user security on dimensional attributes while using them to create the dashboard prompts.

Content

By default, the attributes from the dimensions when used as a dashboard prompt, brings up all the values without data security filters being applied on them. This can give data from certain columns that might be restricted for users to view them. In order to bring in the data security, the dashboard prompts must be built using the results from an SQL. The SQL must be provided with a where clause that restricts the data based on user security.
