Why is database refresh in EPM Planning taking 2h15m when it used to take 10m?

In our production environment, since the 6th of September, refreshing our EPM Planning database has started taking 2h15m regularly. Prior to the 6th of September occasionally a database refresh would take such a long time but typically the refresh would be done in around 10m.

What could case the database refresh time to blow out like this, given there have been no fundamental changes to our application? Database refresh in our non-production test environment is taking around 10m still.

Any suggestions?
