Workflow Approval for Asset Transfer to another Book Across Ledgers

We have configured and tested the new release for Asset Transfer to Another Book Across Ledgers. The new functionality is great and automates manual processes, however it seems the transfer process skips the workflow approval rules from both the source book transaction(Retirement) and destination book (Addition), which is a major business requirement for us. We need all transactions (Addition, Transfer, and Retirement) to be approved.

I would like to know if anyone has configured this functionality with the workflow approval processes enabled.
