Mass addition not work for LIFE IN MONTHS

Summary:

We have uploaded Fixed assets by using Spreadsheet. Given LIFE_IN_MONTHS while adding the assets but after posting system is showing category life instead of life which used in asset addition upload. Same we tested in bulk (40K+ assets) before uploading to production but there it worked fine. Why does it happen? Secondly what is the solution to correct other than one by one adjustment. Total number of impacted assets are in 500K+.
