Embedded Content Refresh

One of the report packages contains 35 embedded MR Reports doclets. To refresh the package for the next year, period, or a different entity, is it necessary to individually refresh all the referenced MR Reports doclets by performing checkout and check-in on each? Or is there a way to do this dynamically? (just with one refresh all the embedded MR reports will get refreshed).
