Unable to Add Budget Period in Grants Management in Awards

Summary: User getting the below error when trying to Extend the Award Date/period

Navigation: Manage Awards - Project Number (award) - Edit - Financial - Budget Period

When user trying to Enter the Budget period End Date with 06/30/25 and Trying to create a new Name with line 6 as Budget Start date as 07/01/25 to 06/30/26 – Data is not getting saved. 

Receiving the below Error.

Attached the Error Screen shot.  When we check in the system no transactions exists/created for the period 2025-07-01.  Please find the below screen shot.

Error: you cannot update the end date of the budget periods because transaction exists
