Flex Field data not populating in employee assignment from position synchronization

Hi All,

we have an issue with the flex field on the Assignment not retaining data when new actions, such as Position Sync, are taken. This problem affects tracking Leave of Absence (LOA) as the action that placed an employee on leave disappears from the data presented to the campus.

I have attached the screenshot of the two descriptive flex fields to which data has to get populated during position synchronization.

what configurations can we make so that the data populates in the fields?
