Clarification on Use of Special Characters in UOM Codes and Names

in Product Master Data Management

In the Manage Units of Measure task, the system currently allows the use of special characters in both UOM codes and names. I would like to understand if using special characters in these fields could potentially cause any issues in downstream processes or integrations.

Additionally, do we have any best practice documents or recommended guidelines for naming UOM codes and names?
