Specialization status when course completion gets expired

Please confirm the application behavior.

What is the specialization status when course completion gets expired and a new renewal assignment is created for that course.

We have a specialization assigned as REQUIRED to employee with two courses.
Both these courses are assigned as REQUIRED separately in a learning initiative with renewal - Yes, and expiry set.
So when employee completes both the course, the specialization is completed.
When the course within it gets expired. a new course assignment is created - working fine.
Will the specialization status change from Completed to back to Inprogress?

In our testing in 25C, the specialization status showed as completed. And within it the courses also showed as completed, not even as completed - expired.
