With Collaboration enabled, approval flow is not behaving correctly

Summary:

Hello Team

For one of our functionality we had to enabled collaboration for our process.

But enabling that is breaking our approval process.

A pending approval status is skipped and directly moved to Approved status whereas the approval still shows 'Awaiting approval'.

We are using timer in our Steps for transition.

Has anyone faced this issue with Timers, Collaboration and Approval Flow ?
