Enhancing Embedded Task in Oracle Integration OIC to Support Updates and Deletions in OPA
With one of its recent releases, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) introduced a highly anticipated feature—a seamless embedded task that connects directly to Oracle Process Automation (OPA) without requiring a separate OIC connection. This feature is a significant step forward in simplifying the integration process and enhancing connectivity between Oracle systems.
While the embedded task in OIC makes it easier to create new tasks in OPA, it currently lacks the capability to update or delete tasks once they’ve been created. Many organizations, including ours, rely on dynamic processes where tasks need to be modified or removed based on changing business conditions, evolving workflows, or shifting priorities. Without the ability to update or delete tasks, this integration feature falls short of its potential, limiting flexibility and preventing us from fully leveraging the OPA in more complex use cases.
