How to use the context sensitive segment DFF in Absence approval rule?

Summary:

As per the below post I see it is not possible to use the Context segment DFF in approval rule and it has to be global segment DFF to use in approvals.

However the DFF we are trying to use in the approval is only relevant for 1 absence type and it's not applicable for other absences so it can't be created as Global segment DFF.

Is there any solution or workaround for this?
