Class categories - assign to all projects automatically enabled

Hi,

We are configuring class categories, and then created projects and templates. However, we noticed that assign to all projects is automatically enabled on the class category. Now when we are creating any project with this project type, the class category is mandatory. We are also not able to unassign this category. Is there any way to revert this and also how to avoid this going in future?
