The repeating time period in an accrual plan cannot be edited

Hi Experts,
The repeating time period in an accrual plan cannot be edited. There are two existing plans with start dates from 2021:
- Plan 1: Accrual occurs on the month-end date, due to a sample start date of 01/01/2013.
- Plan 2: Accrual occurs on the start date of the month, due to a sample start date of 02/01/1951.
The customer is now requesting a change to the accrual date, which is not feasible within the current configuration.
To address this, we are considering the following approach:
- End-date the existing plan
- Create a new plan with the same rules but a different repeating period
