Worker API GET Call response with Assignment number as a parameter

For GET call in worker API, when we try to query it with the assignment number in the query parameter
(q=workRelationships.assignments.AssignmentNumber='E0000A-2'), it should give the response only for this particular entry ('E0000A-2'). But we are able to see other entries like 'E0000A-3','E0000A' also.

In case if an employee has multiple assignments,we need the response of only 'E0000A-2'. How do query that in the header. Because, currently if query it only with 'E0000A-2' it brings up all the assignments in the response.
