Looking for some SAP programming insight

We are struggling with accurately accounting for credits attempted and are looking to make programming changes for SAP calculations for 26-27. Currently our SAP calculation considers any course that a student is enrolled in after the term start date as an attempted hour, even if the student drops that class within the first couple of days of the term and replaces it with the same course but a different section. This results in an inaccurate completion rate. We are wondering if we can change the SAP calculation to wait until the 11th day of the term to only count their
