How do you hide 'Not Passed' on the offering's admin side of the activity?

Summary:

We require a course set-up where there will be a Quiz with 2 attempts. Once a learner fails both attempts, the status will be 'Not Passed' with a Completion Date. However, we do not want the 'Not Passed' as a selectable option on the activity from the Learning admin side of the offering. If hiding 'Not Passed' is an option, does this affect the status of 'Not Passed' being produced on the front-end?
