Long Description is not getting removed through Item FBDI File

Currently, we are having the value at the Long Description field of the Item. Business Requirement is to remove the Long Description of the Items through FBDI file.
Updated the Long description field in the FBDI as " " (i.e. space), but no update is taking place.
How do we remove the Long description in this case through FBDI.
