Change Manager Workflow Approval ‘Null Values’ not recognised

Summary:

We use matrix managers in our Organisation, the Manager Types are

Line Manager

Business Line Manager

We do not want regular managers to be able to create/update records that have the manager type ‘Business Line Manager’, this should be for HR only.

Since there is no way of restricting the manager types certain users or roles can select via the Change Manager quick action, we are trying to setup a rule within the change manager workflow approval rules that checks if the proposed manager change has a manager type of ‘Business Line Manager’ and will then check that the submitter has the appropriate HR role.
