Smart View add-on for Excel for Oracle Fusion (Essbasse) customers using Apple Mac devices

We need to install the Smart View add-on for Excel for Oracle Fusion (Essbase) users on Apple Mac devices. However, Oracle support has informed us that this is currently not possible for Oracle Fusion users:

"Our Product Team has provided an update regarding your request for Mac support for Essbase. Currently, Mac support is available only for the Marketplace Essbase and cloud versions; it is not available for Fusion at this time. If Mac support in Fusion is important for your needs, I recommend submitting a Customer Connect Idea. This will allow the relevant teams to review and consider the enhancement for future releases."
