Process running indicator on redwood employment flows pages to make user aware

While performing change assignment transaction, in when and why section when we populate the date there is a delay of 3-4 secs before the action could be defaulted. What we are looking for is some sort of indicator where user can be made aware that some process is running in the background after user selects the date. The same is observed when we click on continue button, there is no indicator on the screen which could tell that we clicked the continue button and background process is running. The screen remains still even though user has took the action.
