What could be causing 401 Authorization Required errors in Smartview

We are all of a sudden getting random 401 Authorization Required errors when connecting to EPM Cloud applications (Freeform and FCCS) from Smartview. Sometimes they happen after a person first logs in. Other times when the are switching applications. A retry sometimes works to connect but not always. We've had people reboot and still not be able to get in then 30 minutes later they can. These started to happen more frequently last week.

Users are on Smartview 25.100 but a few users are using 25.200 and still getting the issue.

Smartview settings for KeepAlive Timeout, Receive Timeout and ServerInfo timeout are set very high.
