EDM interface US keyboard only

Hi , The other day a user inputted a description using a European charset and EDM allowed this to be processed. Now usually if it was just 1 charset we would type it in the invalid values table within the property. But, since there many charsets we are trying to prohibit manually adding it within this value list 1 by 1. Is there anywhere in the setting where we can only allow US characters?
