Total Geography shows OK Status for period - but not all descendants are OK Status

Summary:

We have ownership (EOBP) and EPU enabled in our application and after consolidation/translation, we see the status at Total Geography in OK Status for the current period (October in this instance). The assumption is that the status at the top parent is also the same for all descendants - is this no longer the case? We get error in November saying that prior period is not in OK status, and after drilling into prior period, it is indeed not in OK Status…

Anyone else experiencing this?
