Custom Reports - Organizational Unit Parameter Behavior

Summary:

Regarding the custom report functionality: When we use the organizational unit (org unit) as a parameter, selecting a specific child unit returns the expected results. However, when we select the parent org unit - which includes those same children - the report shows zero records. Is this a common experience for others, or is this the intended design of how the reports aggregate org unit data?

Is there a solution to get values at parent org unit?
