Demand Management : How to use Item Descriptions in Tables

Customer wants to have Descriptions instead of Item Codes in Tables

Customer is asking to have Item Description in Tables instead of Item codes as Descriptions made more sense to Planners. When we loaded the data with FBDI Descriptions were loaded as well and I can confirm that with Plan Inputs/Items. However, we cannot find a way to use descriptions instead of Items for Demand Management. Any input would be appreciated,
