Unable to attach Assignment level payroll element with the benefits plan.
Issue Description:
We are attempting to derive costing information based on the employee's department cost center details. To achieve this, a test element was created at the Assignment level, which successfully traverses the costing hierarchy and retrieves accurate costing data from the Costing of Departments page.
However, when trying to associate this Assignment-level element with a Benefits Plan, an error occurs indicating that the element is created at an incorrect level and therefore cannot be linked to the benefits configuration.
Alternatively, an element created at the Payroll Relationship level can be successfully attached to the benefits plan, but it fails to fetch the correct costing details. This is because it cannot traverse the hierarchy to access assignment-level data, resulting in inaccurate costing.
