Email Bursting Fails in Oracle Fusion UAT Instance – Missing SMTP Configuration

in Reporting and Analytics for HCM

Hello Everyone,

We are currently performing UAT testing for our Oracle Fusion HCM BI Publisher bursting reports, which send email notifications to users. The same reports work successfully in our DEV environments, but fail in the UAT instance with the following error message:

Document delivery failed
Exception happened when delivering document to email
oracle.xdo.delivery.MissingRequiredPropertyException: Required property missing. Property name : [HOST]

Upon reviewing the configuration under: BI Publisher → Administration → Manage Publisher → Delivery → Email, we observed that the Default option is not enabled in UAT, while it is enabled in our DEV environments. We suspect this may be related to missing or disabled SMTP (mail server) configuration in the UAT instance, possibly as part of post-clone activities.
