Is Packing mandatory for Manifest (Send Manifest Request) ?

Hi Team,

I just wanted to clarify one point about Shipping Manifestation: Is packing a mandatory requirement for sending shipment details to the carrier?

We did a small POC and following is the observation:

Case 1: Success

  1. Created SO for a Item for which Default config is setup
  2. Pick Released
  3. Ran the ESS job: Send Manifest Request (with parameter Automatically Pack: YES)
  4. Shipment line got packed and shipment header status got changed to Manifested.

Case 2: Not Working

  1. Created SO for a Item for which Default Config setup do NOT Exist.
  2. Pick Released
  3. Ran the ESS job: Send Manifest Request (with Parameter Automatically Pack : YES)
