Work Schedule not getting assigned at enterprise or legal employer level.

We need to default a work schedule automatically when hiring any employee.
To achieve this, we used the Work Schedule Assignment Administration task and tried to assign a schedule at any one level - Enterprise level or Legal Employer level.
However, the assigned work schedule is not reflecting on the employee record—neither for existing employees nor for newly hired employees.
Even after rechecking the configuration, no work schedule is appearing in employees Work Schedule Assignment Section.
