Business Scenario

An employee submits an absence.Their direct manager has delegated approvals to another manager.However, depending on whether the rule uses Created By or From User, the approval routing behaves differently.

Questions

  1. What is the functional difference between Created By and From User in delegation rules?
  2. If both rules appear the same, why does the Created By version still route to the next-level manager instead of following the delegation?
  3. In the default UI (My Client Groups > Person Management > Personal and Employment > User Account > Approval Delegation), the system always defaults to
