Interchangeable item relationship between two components in Item Structure

Summary:

We have a requirement to build interchangeable item relationship between two parts in item structure and system can use any one these two parts based on availability when there is demand.

For example Part A and Part B have interchangeable relationship at Item level, then any Item Structure use one these two part can be replaced by other part.

Question is:

Is there a way to setup the interchangeable relationship between two parts in Oracle so that we don't need to update this interchangeable relationship in all related item structure manually. Where ever system want to use one of these parts, it will suggest to use any one of them.
